The Berwick 900 Festival programme opened with a programme of displays and family history activities staged in several of the town’s churches.

Taking part during the Easter weekend were the Parish Church of Holy Trinity and St Mary, St Andrew’s Wallace Green Church of Scotland, Tweedmouth, Spittal and Scremerston parish Churches and the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady and St Cuthbert.

Three Berwick 900 Time Capsules created by local children were buried at the churches in Tweeedmouth, Spittal and Scremerston.

The Moments in Time Flower Festival in St. Andrew’s Wallace Green Church attracted over 700 visitors during the Easter weekend and featured a variety of colourful floral displays illustrating aspects of the history of the church and some of the people who were significant in its story.
